While you can certainly create your entire database from scratch in the ARDI interface, larger systems may benefit by being set up using the spreadsheet import.

This allows you to collect data from your existing information systems to make initial setup significantly faster.

The following elements can be imported…

• Relationships
• Properties
• Types
• Templates
• Assets
• Media
• Data Links

Each of these are imported into ARDI using a separate file.

Relationships, Properties, Types, Templates and Assets are imported from Excel spreadsheets (xlsx files). You can edit these either in Microsoft Excel or in compatible software, such as the free OpenOffice Calc package.

Data Links are imported from a plain CSV file, which you can also create from Excel / OpenOffice.

Media is imported using a ZIP file of all of the relevant documents and images.
