Creating Properties
Properties can be created from the properties list under Administration.
Although there are several types available, the most common are…
| Property Type | Explanation |
|---|---|
| ID | A unique identifier for the asset. This may be the identity of the asset in other information management systems |
| Text | Plain text. Often used for model numbers, manufacturer names, drawing IDs, serial numbers etc. |
| Measurement | An analogue/continuous value (ie 2.5, 9.8 99.4) |
| Status | A digital value - 0 or 1 |
| Enumeration | A set of discrete values (eg. 0,1,2,3 & 4) |
Once you create your property, you will need to assign it to one or more assets.
