What are Virtual Environments?
3D Environments create a virtual, three-dimensional environment that you can use to view your plant and equipment.
It allows a new world of options in viewing your process, training your staff and developing new and improved processes.
Optrix use a range of technologies to bring the enormous power of 3D visualisation to you across multiple platforms. We also connect to a range of data sources to provide your real-time or historical data in your virtual environment.
Virtual Training
Staff can be trained in complete safety, performing tasks on an accurate model of your plant. Let your staff learn by doing, rather than through questionaires and group meetings.
Process Visualisation
Not only can you see the current state of your site and equipment in real-time, you can see far more than the real world allows - your complex plant data can be brought to life in a way that is totally clear to even untrained users.
Asset Tracking
Unlike normal maps, virtual environments give you a much more detailed view of your plant and the areas around it, allowing you to pinpoint the assets you track in 3D - from vehicles to staff. You can also access their status information and documentation.
Simulation & Control
Being virtual, the things you are modelling don't need to actually be real. Using simulation software to model your process or building virtual versions of soon-to-be built hardware allows you to investigate 'what if' scenarios and try out a plant before it has been built.
