ARDI-AR User Guide ARDI AR is the augmented reality client for ARDI. Using ARDI AR means that by simply looking at your assets through your phone, you're given immediate access to all of the important information - including live values - that apply to what you are looking at.

Camera Settings The camera icon in the top-right corner of the screen allows you to reconfigure your AR camera. If you find your view of the world is stretched, distorted or just too blocky, you'll need to go to the camera settings to adjust the 'resolution' of the camera.

Closing the App You close the application the same way as you do any application on your phone... Android: Hit the 'Back' button or the 'Home' button to return to the main screen. IOS/Apple: Hit the 'Home' button.

Connecting to a Server The ARDI AR application can connect to a number of different ARDI servers. If this is the first time you've started the app or if there is a problem connecting to the server you used last time, ARDI-AR will let you know and give you the option of opening the Server List.

Glove Mode This mode allows you to operate ARDI-AR without needing to touch the screen when you want to lock or scroll the information that is being displayed. After scanning a marker, you control the application by rotating the phone - imagine using the phone as a steering-wheel.

Play Store (Android) App Store (iOS) Desktop/PC You can download the desktop clients from the download library, via the ARDI Online Store. Check under Clients | AR | Release for the latest official version. Note that desktop machines aren't usually an ideal device for running Augmented Reality applications, except for slates and convertibles with rear-facing cameras, such as the Microsoft Surface.

Pins / Pinning In some cases you'll want to do a job that needs you to be in two places at once to watch how your actions are changing something up or downstream. This is where pinning comes in handy. When you have scanned (or searched for) an asset that has measurements, a 'pin' icon will appear next to the name and value of each measurement.

Searching For Items You can get quick access to information that belongs to other, out-of-sight assets by performing a search. By pressing the 'Search' icon in the top left corner of your screen, you'll pull down the Search Box.
