====Integrated/Isolated====

If an ARDI server has more than one [[ARDI database|database]] attached, the server may be set to be **integrated** or **isolated**.

An //integrated// ARDI server....

    * Has a list of every database (ie. location or site) in the [[ardiuserguide:the_sidebar|sidebar]].
    * Shares a list of users between every database.
    * Allows you to move between databases without needing to sign-in to each one.

An //isolated// ARDI server...

   * Does not have a database list - users will need to know each unique URL.
   * Has individual user lists for each and every database.
   * Requires re-authentication when moving between databases, even when the login credentials are identical. 

The default mode is 'Integrated'. You can switch between the two from the [[general options|general options]] tab of the [[administration page|administration page]].
